Weird noise when turning

Maybe someone cane help me diagnose as Nissan can't

I have an 08 Rogue, 25K miles ad recently had my third transmission put in. After this I have been having a weird bang type noise when I turn right. Feels like someone is under the car with a ball peen hammer. You can hear it and also feel it in the gas pedal

The car has been in twice and is going in for a third time today.

Any ideas??

sschantz - we recently had our first transmission replaced around 15k miles. After getting it back from the dealer we heard a weird noise when turning/coming off of a stop. We took it back to the dealer and they said they needed to tighten some bolts underneath. I asked "which ones?" and I got a reply of 10 to 15 that needed a half turn. It must have been related to the transmission replacement. Not sure it that is your problem but we no longer experience a "bang" noise which is very annoying to hear. Good luck!

Thanks for the input. They have supposedly done this, "broken bolts", re-torqued them etc etc.

My car is going back in for a 4th time now. Again it is not every time I turn but it is quite noticeable when it happens. And of course the last time it went in, I had a tech ride with me and no noise BUT the previous time he did hear it.

Unfortunately I cannot claim lemon law as it is past the 1 yr mark.

Nissan has been very accomodating, giving me a rental every time but this is getting old. Having to reschedule my day, the extra mileage I am putting on the car to bring it back and forth etc etc....

Any techs that read this board lend assistance.
