Weird noise
Weird noise
Maybe it's a vacuum issue? I dont know.. But I finally got my car to start today, and it sounded nice, then it makes this really really loud almost witch screaming sound and dies... I dont know what the hell it was.. But it kinda surprised me.. Anyone know what it could be?

video would be good.Back when my timing was horribly off i was only firing off 2 cylinders and i had bad vacuum leaks when i put the car in drive(automatic) it would scream and die idk what it was but thats what caused it

How did I know it was Phil..... Whistle, hmm I would like to say its a line, or reversed something. PCV in correct?, can you pinpoint the noise closer?

wow that sounds horrible. can you pinpoint the noise location (front, back, top, bottom...) sounds like air passing over a reed, you can hear it whistle just after it dies like you have a intake leak. did it run this rough before you did your 5spd swap, will it idle on its own, does it make that noise when your foot is on the clutch, did you replace the pilot bearing when you did your swap?

Just off the top of my head I would say you are only running on 2 (maybe 3 cyl.
It allmost sounds like an extreamly bad alternator bearing but that doen't match with the swap.
I would say you hav ea problem with the clutch and or throwout bearing being installed wrong.
Drop the trans and check that stuff out.
