Weird noise. NOT TICKING OR KNOCKING (SR20det)

Ok soo engine is making a weird noise. Its almost like a whine but ive been searching this forum, zilva, and youtube for something like it and i have been unsuccessful

so heres a video of the sound. seems to be comming from the top of the engine

Get a section of 1/8" vacuum tubing about 3 foot long and put one end to your ear (up close) and move the other around to pin point the noise first...

it seemed like it was comming from the back of the engine. but it went away after the motor warmed up so its been hard to pinpoint. also the last couple times it started up, i think the exhaust turbine is hitting the housing because it sounds like a metallic object hitting a metal fan. possibly related?

I cant think of anything in a motor that could make that noise.

And if the turbine was hitting the housing wall, ... well trust me youd know even at idle rotation lol

ya.. im pretty sure the turbine is hitting something because its comming from that are and sounds like youre sticking something in a metal fan..

as for the sound, a friend said it might be a bad bearing? idk though. i was hoping that someone else has had this problem before or was smart enough to figure it out.
