weird noise coming from passenger side

i got a weird noise coming from the passenger side it comes and goes and it only does it when i start my car and i turn the wheel to reverse , either way i turn it it sounds like a loud deep cranking noise, but as soon as the cars rolling it wont be making a noise i thought my wheel may have been rubbing on my fender liners but i just got it replaced on the weekend the mechanic said he didn't hear a noise when i brought the car in so he didn't bother to check, any1 have any ideas what the noise may be????

uhm I had a noise after I got my car aligned. When I turned to the right or put the wheel in reverse I heard something coming from the passenger side too. I asked the alignment guy to check and he told me that my front tires were worn and that was the cause of the sound. He said rotating the tires in my next service would eliminate the sound. A few days after my alignment, car drives fine and no more noise. I guess the tires settled after the alignment.

hmmm not sure thats the case it made the noise couple months back and i bought brand new winter tires and got an alignment and its still making that noise, could it possibly be anything to do with the power steering?

My car is doing it to it just started the other day it sounds like either a power steering issue or a cv boot im going to take it to the shop tonight.

hey, so did you ever find out what that noise was when you brought your car in? im planning to bring mine in soon i just dont have time at the moment
