Weird Noise! Bearings??

Hey all.. I got a question.. I got my CA running, but I'm getting a pretty bad knocking noise from it.. it idles around 400-500 (bad compression?) and the ticking/knock is very noticable.. I pulled the oil pan and checked the rod bearings and they were very smooth and not scored.. the oil seemed ok, but it had tiny pieces of metal flakes in it.. I put back everything and it seems the noise is coming from somewhere in the head.. I'm gonna pull the head tom. and see whats going on.. any input would help.. I'll try to get some pics too..

injectors... or idle air valve... both are EXTREMELY loud on this damn motor:) worried me too for awhile, but I've had numerous people tell me its normal!

I'm gonna check the head today.. It sounds like its coming from there, but not sure.. I hope its nothing too bad.. but the knocking noise is pretty loud.. One thing is I remember losing one of the bolts that hold the coilpacks in, and I wondered if it was dropped in there by accident.. I checked with a magnet and even used a "modified" shop vac to remove it, but nothing came out.. Like I said , the rod bearings seem ok, didn't check the main bearings.. I wish I had a second opinion on this.. Not many CA people in Tampa.. mostly SRs....

could be a sticky lifter, that would rattle and bugger the idle up.

Man that would cool Nismo1182.. I know a few people out in Orlando too.. not a bad drive ..bout an hour or so.. I would love to see some other CA pwered cars!
