OK, so I just KA-T'd my 240sx. Setup is: t25 7.5 psi recirced, 370cc injectors, walbro pump, and a N60 maf till i can get my PLMS kit in.

My problem is a high idle and runnign rich with the distributor all the way CCW I think to be at 20 BTDC and dieing when the bov opens. The car is running at 20 vac at idle and Ive checked for leaks. TPS is in spec, IACV is new, plugs are NGK BKR7E's and new, FPR is good.

IACV hose blew off at one point. Could that have damaged my maf? Havent bothered with pulling the dist yet cuz its a pita to do and I havent had the time. Could it have jumped somehow? I took the guides off so there is only the tensioner. Anything I could be missing?

Need help, I wanna play at 10-11 psi!!!!!

How are you running the n60 maf, im pretty sure you need a safc, just try your stock one again and see what happens. My car won't run at all without the safc changing the signal. I have a z32 maf...

umm, it runs like crap.

Basically you run an n60 (maybe you're confusing it with an n62 turbo maf) which requires more fuel, and to compensate for the roughly 30% more fuel needed, you use 370cc injectors.

Quote »with the distributor all the way CCW I think to be at 20 BTDC [/quote]Please check your timing with a light, be sure that it is at 20...actually you should be at like 13 with a stock block (1 degree of timing retard per pound of boost). Please get a wideband before you go out boosting anymore...if you want to not kill your motor.

Also, my Ka likes to have the bov open a little when at it idle that way its not sucking through a slowly spining compressor. I don't know if your bov has any adjustment like that (softer spring mabye).

You can run 8psi on stock block with no timing retard....Provided you run good fuel and your tune is good. But being he has no tunign equipment or dyno to check or to sense knock you need to bump it back off base timing...But regardless you need to get the fuel fixed so just get a safc and hit the dyno, let them take care of you....

For god's sake, do it right or not at all. The VQ is not the same for stock v. N60, and this will affect timing and fueling, the affect will not be linear or easily predictable. Unless you got lucky, this will come back to bite you. I would greatly suggest getting some engine management, before you end up walking.
