I recently took my Nissan Rogue in for state inspection and my mechanic told me I would need new rotors and brakes in approx 2k to 3k miles. But the lately noticed a weird low metal scraping kind of sound when turning in a parking garage. I would have that is signaling the wheel bearings might be in trouble as well.... any thoughts? Also considering the aforementioned any thoughts on what the cost of replacing rotors, brakes and wheel bearing on a Nissan Rogue would be?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, do you have AWD or FWD? These details make it a lot easier to try to diagnose the problem.

There is a current Technical Service Bulletin for grinding noise at low speeds, from the rear of the vehicle, you can view it here: http://nissan-techinfo.com/TSB/TSB_xml/ ... modelyear=

Also there is a lot discussion in existing threads regarding brake jobs, these can be accessed from the main Rogue glossary, or I can pull the threads for you when I have a bit more time (in a big hurry right now). Good luck!
