I'm having a few small, but annoying problems with some things in my car. One is that the e-brake light in the gauge cluster doesn't come on immediately when you pull the brake up. There is a slight delay with that, and sometimes it doesn't come on at all. I don't know if that's normal or not, but that's not a big deal.

The one annoying thing that has happened recently is that my power door locks aren't working right. I noticed this problem right after i left my lights on and my battery died, so i jumped the battery and now it's fine. I tested it tonight and the battery is good. The problem i'm having is that the power door locks won't unlock the passenger side door anymore. Whether i unlock it with the key on the outside where it used to unlock the pass side automatically, it does not anymore. Also when i move the lock on the drivers side from the inside it doesn't unlock the passenger side. The weird thing is that when the passenger side door is unlocked, the lock on the drivers side WILL lock the passenger side. This gets real annoying when im driving aroudn places with my gf :( I looked around in the fuse box at the fuse chart, and i saw nothign that would apply to the power door locks. Has anyone had this similar problem?

I've got a similar door lock issue with my car...except, the pass side motor moves the lock mechanism, just not enough to unlock the door. I've had the door apart many times and have tried lubricating, adjusting, etc,etc everything inside the door to ease the problem. I'm going to try and hit a wrecker this weekend to get a new pass side motor, maybe this one's bagged...?

As for your lock issue, if it's locking and not unlocking, I would think either wiring or blown component or something else like that. I can't see a dead battery suddenly causing these issues. Tried taking your door apart yet to see if what's amok?

Sorry, don't know if that helped much.....John

in response to this problem, i fixed it. I ended up disconnecting my ground wire from my battery today and i cleaned off the connector. When i reconnected it, the problem with the door locks and the led lights in the dash went away. I guess i either have a funny battery or after i jumped it something weird happened...
