Weird lighting problem

1995 240sx, just got Kouki taillights off a 1998 and now whenever I press on the brakes my gauge cluster lights up.
No messed up wires, plugs are all fine, bulbs are good.
Does anybody have any clue why this is happening?

Weird, I have no clue, but check and clean the ground back there.

THATS a cool problem to have! lol does the problem disappear with zenki tails?

I went through this a few years back when I changed my Zenki to the Kouki tails. Here's the thread, maybe it will help with yours.
