Weird KA starting issue.

I have a 240 with a dohc ka that I bought about 2 months ago. The car has run great up untill a week ago. The car will only start if it has been sitting for like 3 hours. If you turn it off and then try to start it 5 min later it just cranks. I replaced the plugs and the fuel filter hoping that would be the issue, but didn't help. Would could this be?

Maybe coolant sensor? Or there abouts. Kinda sounds like it has to be cooled off for it to start

It helps tell the ecu how much fuel to send to your injectors. If its failing it wont tell the ecu anything.Idk but it sounds about right.

Check the coil we had a problem it was the coil that was getting hot and would not put out enough charge to start but would work if it cooled down.

why dont you check a service manual for "hard to start when how".

i put a new cts in today and Im pretty sure it solved the problem. It has started up every time so far.

it drives fine, it drove fine before it just didn't like to start up
