Weird issue with HVAC - 2003 Pathfinder LE

I bought a 2003 LE 4x4 w/ 128k miles about 8 months ago and love it. Just finished a trip from Tulsa to Breckenridge and back and the pathy performed flawlessly. Weird issue that was already there when I bought it - HVAC blows both hot and cold air like normal. However, the only time it will blow cold is when the temp is set to 60 degrees. When I move it just one degree to 61 it then blows hot as though its set on 90. Basically I have to use 60 for cold and 61 for hot air. Other than that, everything works normal. Any ideas? Thanks.
