hi, i have an 89 fastback with a redtop sr swap and ive had it for about 2 months now. about 3 days ago, i was running kinda late and finally really 'pushed' the car on the freeway and when i finally arrived at work, it was idling extremely high. i dont have my tach working rite now, but it was prolly around 2000 rpm while idling.before i left, everything was fine, and the car warmed up/idled fine. its basically been doing that ever since that day, but now, only sometimes it will idle that high, sometimes a little bit lower , but its always higher than what it should be and its always at a constant rate. i have never seen this happen on any other car, what should i look/check for ? thanks.

yes, sticking TB, also check your throtle cable, maybe something got bent or loosened. IF those are strikeouts, then make sure that you have enough coolant in your engine. THe hot water idle valve needs hot water or else it will open and allow extra air in at idle. THis is good when your car is cold, but not when its hot. It is where the water lines go into the idle motor, in the curl of the intake manifold. After that, check your maf sensor, try cleaning it. If you already fixed it, what was it?
