ok i just had to change my CAS. and im trying to set the timming which i have done many times before........ but this time i cant get the idle speed below 1100 rpm with the tps unpluged. i have the idle screw all the way in and thats the lowest it would idle. and to get the car to even run right i have to set the timming at 27 degrees. and even there it dosent feel as strong as it was but i dont want to advance it anymore. but any ideas as to why i cant get the idle speed down? also with the tps pluged in it idles 800-900 rpm.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. With the tps unplugged on my car, my idle is 1400. Plugged in it is around 850. I also have to advance my timing a mile to get the thing to run right. I've been e-mailing Marco at SR20store trying to figure the problem out. When I do,(and I will,) I will post here.

well at least im not the only one. it sucks because i dont know if i have too much timming or not. and all this started from a bad CAS. i was reading somewhere on the net that it might be the IAC motor getting stuck/ or is bad. but i hope not. i havent pulled mine but i have pulled the screw out and sprayed carb cleaner in there while running and that didnt help any. i guess the next step is to pull it and clean it......... fun stuff

Just found a massive air leak in my intercooler tonight. It was so bad, I could not get more the 1psi doing the test. I think this is my problem.
