weird idle: *tick* down *tick* up *tick* down...
In the last week I have noticed that on startup my engine does this weird hi/low idle alteration with a soft tick when it changes. when it goes down, it seems to be bogged somehow, then more healthy when the rpms are back up again. it drops from about 1k to .8k and back up in about 20 sec. intervals. when it's been running for awhile i don't notice any of it anymore. any ideas?seems like it could be electrical/ alternator? ignition/plugs, or timing?

Underneath the intake manifold runner. Maybe hard to get to. First make sure the wiring is right, like the connection should be tight, no cold solder etc. The wire (black with yellow stripe)should get 12V. Spray intake manifold cleaner into the metal hose leading into the IACV. If that doesn't solve it, then go ahead take that sucker out and see if it's the solenoid that's damaged.
