Weird Idle

It started today, I came to a red light and when I stopped my rpms dropped to 100rpms then shot back up to 1,000. I got to a parking lot and let the car idle. For a moment its ok, then the idle drops, then returns to normal idle, then drops. I never had this problem before, does anyone know what I should do?
