Hey guys, I have this strange problem. when Im driving, after my car is all warmed up, when I come to a stop or just push the clutch in/put the car in neutral, the revs will stay at about 1500-1700 for 5-10, seconds, or more. It is very slow to drop back to idle. Sometimes I can kick it down with the throttle, but often not. This isnt all the time, but most, and it seems to happen when its cooler out (around 50-60 deg, Im in FL). Otherwise it revs smooth and fine for the most part.

It seems to be fine in warm weather, its just around winter time that I seem to notice this happening so often... any ideas? could a TPS cause this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Engine is a KADE. Thanks!!

I would probably start by just cleaning the IAC valve and maybe changing the coolant temp sensor. both can cause idle issues and are fairly easy and cheep. always check your ecu for codes, even if the check engine light isnt on.

Ok so I sprayed a bunch of Seafoam throught the IACV hose (right by the IAA unit) with it running and warmed up to try to clean it. I also tested the CTS and it ohmed out exactly to spec. I checked the TPS and it seemed to ohm out at a normal range, from about 1.2 closed to 8.5 open (I read it should be about 2 to 10, so im not sure if this is ok or needs adjustment, anyone know?)

You set the tps by voltage. .45 v completely closed should be fine. Also did you check to see if you have power to the iacv?
