Hey guys. I have this strange idle problem with my ka. Recently for about a week it's been running fine for when I first drive it but when I drive it a while and then sit at a redlight or drivethru idling the rpms drop to around 600 stumble for around 15secs then rev back up to 1000 stay there then stumble back down. It will do this 6 or 8 times then straighten out and idle fine. It don't do this all the time. I notice the car will hesitate when accelerating a little bit then when I stop it will do this. It's weird cause it don't do it all the time and the car idled for 4 hrs last nite and never done it but the heater was on. It would at like the rpms was going to drop but would get to about 900 and stay there. I am really sry about the long post so please don't hate. And also I've searched. It's ka-t with sr injectors and a jwt tune 7psi on stock sr t25 I've checked plugs, cap, button, cleaned mafs, and also ran injector cleaner. The ssqv bov is Vta bit I've had it a year and the prob. Just showed up. Again sry for the long post

Have you checked for any vacuum or boost leaks? Where is your mass airflow sensor? Before the turbo, or after (blow-through setup)?

Your IACV could just be dirty too.

It's before the turbo. I've checked for vacuum and boost leaks. I still get a solid 22 on the vac side of my boost gauge. I feel really dumb cause I should know but is the iacv the thing beside the throttle body where the vacuum hose connects to and runs to the intake if so can I spray cleaner in it or do I have to take the intake off to clean it. Or I probably should just search for that. Thx any help is appreciated.

Usually the IACV is located on the firewall side of the intake manifold, but the tube for it runs up to around the throttle body area. A hose comes off your intake tube and goes into it.

So to clean the iacv, according to some guys at 240Atlanta, I can let engine get warm and turn it off, pour seafoam in that vacuum hose that goes to iacv, try to crank then repeat this process. Does this seem right or do I need to take the iacv off and clean it. Thanks again

You can always try that first, but you might have to physically remove it to get the best results.
