well for the past month or so, my car has been idling very weird. sometimes its idles around 800 which was normal before but when i drive in the idle goes up to like 1500 and just stays steady at 1500. when i am on the freeway for like 20 minutes and get off, then it goes up to 2000 then drops back down to 1500 and then repeats until i start driving. i have searched and cannot find anything.
anybody got any ideas?

not sure what number it is without looking, its the stock ecu for s13 blacktop and it has no head fins...

mine did the same thing and it was the idle air control valve. they can be cleaned but i just replaced mine and it has idled perfect ever since

ya, on a different sr i tried cleaning it out with the carb cleaner and after that i had a ticking noise in the head. i think there might be a boost leak at the intercooler too because the bottom of it is all ****ed up...bonestocksr20 wrote:mine did the same thing and it was the idle air control valve. they can be cleaned but i just replaced mine and it has idled perfect ever since
