weird issue, tried to turn the car on and it wont stay on unless I blip the gas a couple times, then it holds it idle fine until it warms up then it idles low at like 600rpm and after continuous driving dies. during the driving though there is no issues, revs fine not weird noises or anything.

things I will try today when I get home:

1. check tps2. check idle screw to make sure its open enough

Is there anything else I should check? my setup is the following:

95 240sx obd1-ross 8.5:1 pistons-eagle rods-650cc injectors-n60 maf-s13 cams-s13 ecu tuned ecu for 550's and n60 maf using afc to accomadate for bigger injectors-synapse bov-gt3076 .82/ar-tial 38mm waste gate with 8psi spring

I'd check the IACV (Idle air control valve) and the CTS (Coolant temp sensor) both could be causing weird issues.

If you Google for a FSM you can find the proper procedure testing either of these.

you know the CTS thing is something I should definitely check! as that is running off the s14 one and I am running a s13 ecu. I know for the gauge sensor I had to change it so maybe for the temp sensor I need to do the same thing!

Thanks! thats another to add to my list of things to check

I got a custom tune by a local tuner, worked fine before I changed the clutch.

today I checked the tps was sitting at .222v at close when the fsm says should be .4 so I bumped it up.

also the idle screw was wayy too far in so I brought it out and my idle when it holds stays at 750-775.

the problem of the car just dying though still presists. when I first turn it on I have to blip the throttle at least 5-6 times before the idle catches. could it be a dirty IACV?

iacv cleaning is very easy, i would do it anyway. just four bolts and a few clips. careful with the gasket. or seafoam the bugger and kill all the mosquitoes and little things in your neighborhood. also check air regulator, which is right next to iacv.

A dirty IACV will definitely cause weird idle issues. You should clean it anyway, because it's pretty easy to do.

With the TPS set right you will need to readjust you're idle air screw every time, just an FYI.
