hey guys so i got a S13 red top SR and it was running like a champ but then a couple days ago i took it to get a car wash (i didnt clean the engine bay at all) and then after that its been having a weird idle it plays around like it used to be at around 750 RPMS but now it goes up to 1000 1200 1100 900 and 600 sometimes so im thinking did i do something to the car when i was washing it? (i have a vented hood so water could have possibly went in there?) oh and it is also not as responsive as it was before so i hope its not a timing issue...anyone know whats wrong with my baby?

You might have slipped water in there. Also, check your vacuum lines, and check for boost leaks.

There could various places that the water entered from. Odd though since the IC piping should be cut off to outside sources. However, I would go ahead open up the idle screw off the IACV and try blowing compressed air inside. Also, take off the coldpipe and see if theirs any signs of water?

It wouldn't hurt to clean the MAFS with a cleaner made specifically for cleaning MAFS at like autozone or something.
