Weird icon in gear selector window on instrument cluster

I recall a long time ago this topic coming up but I search archives and found nothing. Yesterday when I started up my 06' M35X I noticed what looks like a character or icon in the gear selector window on the instrument cluster. Its in the upper left portion of the window and almost looks like the letter "J". Any history or info on this event is appreciated.

I believe I know what you're talking about. It's a cold weather-related occurence.

Thanks EdBwoy. Got it. Guess I'll wait and see if it goes away. Its been extremely cold in Georgia. Coldest month since I moved here.

A true head scratcher indeed, this.
Out of the blue, my cluster did this:


It stayed there for a couple of weeks if memory serves, then again out of the blue it went away:


That was last year and it has never come back. Go figger!

Mine did the same thing...twice, in fact. Both lasted around 3-4 months, then gone...
