Weird headlight problem..

Hey all, this is a problem my friend is having with her 95 240sx

"I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have a 95 S14. I have a really messed up problem with my lights. Two actually. The first, is that the high beams turn on when I turn the normal headlights on. However, they're not as bright as the high beams should be, they're just a little bit dimmer than the regular lights, so no one can tell that they're high beams. This happens all the time, and the weird thing is, that when I switch on the lights, they're normal for a couple seconds, then the dash lights dim and the high beams come on really dimmly. Second, when I DO turn on my brights, I lose my park lights, and all the lights on the dash. Can anyone give me an electrical diagram or tell me which wires/fuses are messing up?"

Sounds like a wire bundle rubbed so much it shorted out.

It would be quicker to go at it with a multi tester and find out where the short is.
