weird half shaft problem

I've got a '95 200sx and this only seems to happen in the morning but the passenger side half shaft likes to pop out of place, after I put it back in it does fine the rest of the day. Any body have any ideas?

update; now it does it when it feels like and the strange thing is is that no fluid comes out when it pops out of place like there's a blocking or something inside the diff area. I've had another person say that it could be the clip on the half shaft but I haven't been able to check into it yet.

There should be a clip or 2 that hold the half shaft in but it sounds like there is too much stress that is poping it out.

I've thought about that as well and I'll be tearing into it this weekend so I'll know for sure then.

alright, replaced the axle and it stays in now but still doesn't have 2nd or overdrive and shudders in reverse. There probably is no hope for this thing is there?
