The Fuel pump does work

When I turn the car to on...fuel pump doesn't come on

However, when I run a wire from the 10 amp fuse in driverside panel..straight to the positive of the fuel pump ..i turn the key on and the pump works...only problem is that it doesn't cut off after 5 secs.-why would it work this way but not the right way??

Another thing..When i disconnected the rigged A$$ wire...and tried to find my problem

The 7.5 amp fuse under the hood was burnt out...when I replace it..turn my key on...fuel pump doesn't come on and the dash lights won't go off

I don't know if this would be a relay because of the fact that when I run the positive directly from the 10amp it works.But..this might be the purpose of a relay...not sure

I did switch the relay in the driver side panel and it still did the same thing.

I am not great with electrical and any help would be appreciated...I do have a multimeter

Have you checked all the relays and fuses? Have you checked that the fuel pump isn't bad it's self? Also do you have a FSM for your car? it will help you with electrical as well.

Fuel pump does work, all fuses are fine except the 7.5 under the hood..i changed it but when I do ..that is when the dash lights won't go off as stated..if I leave the 7.5 out, the dash lights aren't a problem

The only relay I know of for the fuel pump is on the driverside beside the fuse panel...as I mentioned, I did change it and still nothing.

I do have an FSM and I did just about everything except checked for continuity which I am going to do this weekend...I am trying to get any other helpful info ahead of time incase that doesnt work either.

I have researched forums pretty thoroughly and have yet to find a solution.

FSM is sometimes hard to read...if you physically know where other relays are for the fuel pump it would be helpful...if not, that's what the FSM is for

Any other ideas??
