Something is really ****ed nowThe temp gage is saying the car is overheating when i use anything electrical. the car can be turned off, and i put the brakes on, and the gage goes all the way up. Same with the hazard lights( the gage actually fluctuates with the pace of them) interior light, or stereoDo i just need to change the temp sensor?its an '89 so the entire coolant system is run 100% by the engine, nothing electrical

Check your grounds behind the dash. Sounds like stuff is back feeding to that.

I found an after market Gauge that attaches to the dash and im going to use that, but where is the censer it self located? Up by the air intake, or near the bottom of the radiator?

Why don't you just fix the problem that you have before it causes you other issues? There's a chart of all the ground locations in the FSM check them and fix the problem.
