Weird Electrical Problem. Help

I have a 92 240sx coupe dual cam. The issue is this. Car starts up fine after charging the battery. First issue is this, none of the accessories work until i rev the engine once then everything comes on. The weird thing is when I do this the windshield wipers come on for a sec even when switched off. The second part of the problem is the alternator doesn't seem to be charging the battery because after about 30 mins the car turns off and the battery is dead. I know this is probably the alternator or just a bad battery but what could be the deal with all the accessories it could be a short but would that cause the wiper thing to happen. Any opinions would help to give me a starting point.

does the car have high miles? Mine was doing similar stuff and it was the ignition switch

It could a short to power. Meaning one wire is powering another circuit. Your getting excessive current draw.

The only thing i could think of is hook up an ammeter to the battery and start by pulling fuses until your amperage drops. That could at least tell you which circuict is affected

It has about 115k miles on it. I will try to isolate if its a short and see if i can find something. thnx
