Weird Electrical Issue

Hey, guys. I have an S13 Hatch with an S13 blacktop SR. The other day, when I would step on the brake pedal, the speakers would lose power for about 2 seconds then come back on. All the lights(headlights, cluster lights, turn signals, etc) would flicker and come back on. Also, when the car gets turned off, everything loses power. The lights, clock, and radio will turn off for about two seconds then turn back on with the clock back at 1:00. I checked the battery terminals to make sure nothing was dirty or loose and actually found the negative terminal loose. I tightened that back down, but it didn't help at all. The battery, by the way, is in the back of the car, but it's been there for a couple of years. Does anyone have any suggestions on where else to look or anything like that? Thanks in advance!

I think Dr. Nick did your wiring harness.

If this is a new problem and not an effed harness from the get-go, I would look under the dash and see what the brake pedal is interfering with. You may also want to pull the stereo out and see what is going on there. I was an installer and I have seen a lot oaf weird things go on back there. Other than that, start looking over the harness connectors. Good luck with that.
