Question: If you have your maps and settings tweaked in an e-manage, can you pull all connections out, remove power, and bring it into your house to program it? Does it save settings across complete power outages?

Or do you need to program it with all connections intact? I would assume that it doesn't matter since you can program with the car not running, correct?

Just wondering, because I don't have a laptop, but I do have a nice 12v bench supply that I can use to power it while I programmed it here on my desk.

yes, it stores the settings in a memory card.

if your running a turbo, the E-01 boost controller also programs the e-manage, does datalogging, and more. comes with a 4" backlit LCD screen and handheld controller.

There are some functions that you won't be able to do with the E-manage disconnected. You won't be able to engage the TPS sensor as you have to have it conected to do this. Some of the mapping is based on the TPS sensor, so you will have limited tunability.

The grand rule of life: Do what you gotta do...

Once you get the TPS function working though, you may be able to remove the e-manage for tuning. Not entirely sure though. If there is a TPS voltage reading at 0% throttle, the E-Manage may have errors or may turn off the TPS function. My sister's laptop is out of commission right now, so I can't check this. If the TPS reads 0 voltage when the key is in the "on"position though, it probably won't be a problem...
