So recently a couple days ago I noticed my RB25 car, bone stock motor and boost, has recently gotten extremely noticeable dead spots and is much slower then normal.

Best way that I can put it is the car pulls great till about 4500, then hits a dead spot, pulls like crap to about 5300ish, then gets a burst of power till 6000, then takes forever to pull to 7000.

During the dead spot from 6000-tooo the car does have a slight pop.

Things I Know:The clutch is not slipping.New plugs, coils, and ignitorTiming is goodCompression is goodDone a leak down test, came back good.Has good gas in it, 91OCT, highest you can get at the pump in colorado

Things Ive Recently Changed:

Got a stock bumper on the car, and when I did this the IC had to be moved back. When this was done my cold pipe sits at a really odd angle in the coupler that is attatched to the front mount itself. Maybe I had an extremely small boost leak?

Things to think about:

Car has a really random idle. Sometimes itll sit at 1500, sometimes itll sit at the regular 750. Cant figure that one out. Running no t-stat with a stock KA radiator, thats the reason for no t-stat.

So anybody got any ideas? My next thing im going to do is check for that boost leak issue, and see if I have any torn couplers, or loose clamps.

Thanks guys.

it could be your turbo that is going bad or a gas hose giving you problems.

Figured it out. When I redid my harness I soldered everything, but thought it'd be ok to skip the ignition relay power wire (i dunno why). Well soldered that one too, now the car is back to its monster self
