My 94 Q45 keeps losing battery charge. I hotwired the hood switch and that helped a little, but there is still a drain. I pulled the interior lighting fuse under the hood (the third one from the top) and put an ammeter across the terminals. The current surges to about 100mA for a second or so, then down to approximately zero for a second or so. It never stops doing this when everything should be off.

For now I just pulled the fuse to stop this drain. What in the world could cause this?

I put an ammeter on it under those conditions and the current was still bouncing up and down exactly the same (about 1 cycle per 0.8 second) after 10 minutes. Really strange.

Any ideas here? Or should I just continue to do without interior lighting?
