Okay, just about 800 miles ago i did the white bunny special clutch set-up in my 89 single slammer. I got an exedy OEM 280zx clutch, and a 93 4 cyl nissan pickup flywheel(resurfaced). I replaced the pilot bearing, mine looked as though it had never been replaced...But i was still able to slide the new bearing in (rubber mallet). I also replaced the TO bearing. I also removed the dampner, and bled the clutch til i didn't see ANY bubbles. I drove the car for 800 miles, though the whole time even when i try to adjust it, it does not engage until the top of the pedal, and will slip easily by barely pressing on the clutch pedal while accelerating(pressing pedal maybe 1/2 inch disengages clutch). It does not slip unless i press the clutch pedal while accelerating or while clutch kicking. I have tried to bleed the clutch, it's not working. I was thinking slave cylinder, but those just mostly work or don't work. The 800 miles of driving was all breaking the clutch in. This clutch was trying to slip while drifting also (dry). Could this be the master cylinder??? I need this clutch to start grabbing like it should for the local drift events!

This just happened to me. I was gonna get on this curve a little sideways in fourth and the clutch slipped and engine reved, but not rrrrrrrttttt! It was kinda scary and I realized my clutch wasn't releasing all the way. Bleeding is the hard part and your already done with that. Now adjust your pedal. All you need is a pair of plyers. Go under dash, loosen nut on piston for the MC, rotate piston shaft until theres a little play in your pedal, then rotate back until play just dissapears, then tighten the little nut. You should feel almost no clutch movement for the first quarter inch of pedal depression, then steady pressure all the way to the floor. Test drive and see whats up. Post back and let me know if that worked! =)
