so im driving home, shifting gears all normal like and then out of nowhere my clutch pedal got stiffer and i had to apply more force than normal to change gears. i didnt grind or anything. i just kept pushing it down and changed gears but this is so weird. never happened before. so idk what the problem is. anyone ever had this happen to them? all of sudden difference in clutch pedal pressure from soft to hard? thanks for any input guys!

No, no weird noise or any thing. Clutch still engages and disengages fine. Just harder to press the pedal down.

Is there any difference in the amount of travel the pedal has before it engages/disengages? check your fluid first I guess :/

No there's no difference from before or after it engages/disengages. Actually its after the point the clutch disengages/engages. My clutch let's out really high so I only have to push it down 2-3 inches I'm guessing.

If the clutch applies kinda slow and or is still kinda applied even after the pedal is released I'd look for a kink in the line somewhere. Also another thing if I remember correctly there is some kind of weird clutch pedal dampener that nissan put so the clutch pedal is easier to push in. I know its a common problem for those to go bad and most people reroute the line around it.

Commonly this is time to replace the clutch kit. If you google "clutch gets stuff" you find thread after thread about this and most of the time its a worn heated clutch .

Now if its new... remove the damper bleed the hell out of it and then try replacing CMC and slave.

And what if It stopped getting hard to press?? as I've explained above, it stopped last night. so I wonder if its the clutch like you say pahc. :(

I don't think I have that dampener thing, its been swapped from auto to 5speed. The line goes from the cmc straight to the slave cyl.
