thanks for the input guys,

had the flywheel checked and it is on properly, it doesnt make a clunk sound anymore when i try to start it but still doesnt start even tried push starting it and no dice...ecu has no codes besides 55 which is supposed to be normal. my spark plugs are sparking blue/white and my fuel pump, injectors and rail seem to be working fine, idk wtf to look for now so im gonna reset my timing and cas see if that would do it....feel free to throw anything out there you guys think would help solve this annoying problem...kinda regret swapping to an sr

Confirm Spark? [√] You said you had sparking and smoking on the battery? Make sure all connections and grounds are fine, may not start with a weak spark.

Confirm Fuel? [√]

If you have those, and its not starting than it is going to be a timing issue. Or something related to fuel mixture.

Does it smell like its flooding? If its getting to much fuel, pull the fuel pump fuse and see if it starts. Other wise try getting it to fire with starting fluid.

thanks for the reply,

yes, a strong smell of fuel is present. i pulled the fuel pump fuse and still no start. ima take my battery to kragens to get recharged and ill pick up some starting fluid there. stupid question but where exactly do i put the starting fluid? and how much of it do i use? also i didnt get around to reseting my timing. im a lil lost with how to turn the chain.

after reading it more, it sounds like an eletrical issue. Your post was just horribly laid out.

So sometimes it just clicks, other times it turns, but it never fires?

Starting fluid will go into the throttle body, just spray some, maybe a 2-3 seconds of spray?

I said to check the timing, cause I thought you car was cranking fine. If its struggling to just crank over, then it isn't going to start. New battery, or check your grounds, get it to crank normally.

And you don't need to adjust the chain to set the timing, I meant the ignition timing.

How did the problem start?

Yea sorry about that I didn't know how to state my problem and where to start explaining >.<. Ok heres how it started. I had an exhaust leak and went to go get it fixed. After getting my leak fixed I went home. Once I got to my house I set my turbo timer for 2 mins and went inside. About 10mins later I had to go to the store. I go to start my car and it made a "clunk" sound and wouldn't start. After that clunk sound it would just click. So I popped the hood, waited a few mins and tried it again this time it turned over but didnt start. I tried it once more and it turned over made the "clunk" sound and stopped turning. I was very irritated at the time so instead of letting the key go I held the key all the way down and it was making a Rrrrr Rrrrr sound. So I let go of the key hopped out the car and seen a little bit of smoke coming from the positive wire on the battery.

Well, Turns out a lil starting fluid got it going again. Its bogging pretty bad and wont go past 2k rpms and Its low on gas so filling it up would probly solve it.
