The problem is a clicking sound from the turbo side of the engine. Yesterday I had swapped out my turbo out for my old one which was in better condition and it was working fine b4. This morning I finally finished hooking up all the coolant/oil lines to the turbo and started it up and there's this clicking noise from where the turbo manifold is. I was looking around to see if anything was loose and was probably just tapping onto something, but unfortunately couldn't find anything. BTW...I also did my oil change yesterday with 10w30 Mobil Drive Clean. This is on an s13 red top sr20det in 89 coupe.

It may be, but can an exhaust leak make a clicking sound?

Depends on the sound, clicking can be anything. Though most of the time when its an exhaust leak people call it a rattle. Are you sure the turbo is running good(recieving oil, water)?

Got any way to record the sound so we can download it and listen to it?

Sorry I do not know any way to record the sound...but one thing I forgot to mention was that when I accelerate it'll start clicking, but then when I decelerate the clicking goes away like it was never there.

I was also thinking it could be the turbo not receiving any oil too, but all the oil lines and coolant lines are hooked up nice and tight. And like I mentioned the turbo was fine before.

No I did not because the old one was still in good condition. But I think I may have ruined it somehow...I already have a gasket ordered and should be here by this afternoon. Gotta go pick it up and take of my manifold again and install the new gasket. Thanks I'll let you know what happened to the old manifold and let you know if it was an exhaust leak. Thanks

Ok I just installed my new exhaust manifold gasket about a couple hours ago and it fixed the clicking sound. Thanks guys!
