weird changing lights question

So I know a lot of people hate the pop ups and to this day, I love them. However, I just saw the coolest screwing lights on a car ever... I even like the style of the car *but it exceeds my price range*. The car is a Nissan 280zx from the 80s. The lights are circular and have this really long glass looking material that probably extends a good 6 inches to a foot to the front end of the car. Obviously this would all have to be modded but could it possibly be made into the 240 design or did I fall in love with something that is just ridiculous?
