since we got the car the brakes are really grabby at lower speeds

makes it a mess to stop evenly and on target

you have to apply them and then feather off a lot just before stopping

or they jerk you down hard

one odd thing is if your slam on the brakes and activate the ABS the problem

would go away but appear again the next day

now we have 20k on the car while the problem doesn't seem as bad it is still there

and are not having any luck with the local

dealers getting fixed they will not follow the FSM or be through enough

I have rented multiple Altimas and I know there is something not

right. Looked in the FSM and unplugged the harness to disable the ABS and EBD to TrSh.

Still seemed to have the problem. Maybe air water in the lines or a bad proportioning valve?

Rear left also has an annoying squeek since new getting worse.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks!

I would take it in to the dealer as it should still be under warranty (depending on the miles that is).

okay well the altima should have been a nice car

all the rentals we had were fine brakes and trans

ours must have been a dud went to four dealerships and they said it

was fine and normal

after turning our rotors two times and needed a third when we sold it

seems that it had a stuck front right caliper all along and was never diagnosed by any of the

dealership visits; as indicated by third grinding rotor at 40k duh

we don't have the car anymore and am not sure what to think about the whole experience

it is as though the techs have never heard of a FSM for troubleshooting?

What are you the Official Nissan Sanctioned Clean Up Crew?

Every point in your response is unrelated and contradictory.

The 2009 Altima we got made in Smyrna, Tennessee was a complete piece

of s*** and I took a huge loss selling it. The dealers would not even look at

it which seems really odd to me. I even considered driving out of

state to get it fixed.
