weird boost

im having a few strange things happening to me.. i had a loose belt for a while and i finally tightened it, now my car is running 10.5 psi on a sr20 with fmic intake exhaust alum drive shaft.. i was running around 8 psi before.. but ever since i tightened the belt its been running higher.. i cant tell if the cars faster it doesnt seem faster im confused.. any ideas?

also now that i tightened it.. the car has no electricity... as soon as i hit the gas everything turns on at once.. if im riding at a high rpm with no acceleration everything turns off..

You must have bumped a wire and possibly the volt ref harness on the back of the alt. DO you have underdriven pullies or is the alt making a grinding or whining noise? If your belt is too tight it could have wiped out the bearings in the alt and it might be rubbing internally but unless it is making a godawful racket I doubt that is it.

Loose belt on which pulley? The Alternator right?

yeah its the alternator pulley.. when theres low electricity in the car.. like when i first turn it on.. i get a loud screeching for a few seconds... if i rev it and spin the alternator pulley faster.. the sounds goes away and all the electricity works again
