I have a loud Beep sound after a hard pull. I believe it's coming from the bov itself. after a hard pull, the first blow off is really strong... then all of a sudden you will hear a loud beep sound while i leave my foot off the pedal. no throttle at all. it use to not do that so im confused what's wrong. got a enjuku hotpipe and greddy type s. stock smic and piping. what's my problem? left the bottom nipple open on the bov but im not sure if that's the correct way to set it up. im guessing it's air going back into the compressor? sorry if this problem has been discussed. dial up sucks.

I just installed my Greddy Type s tonight. I can't drive it because it won't rev past 2500, but that's another problem. While reving it at idle, mine makes a really high pitched whistle at the end of it's blow off. I'm wondering are you hearing that last part of it where it's really high pitched, but maybe I have no clue what im talking about. I haven't got to drive mine yet :(

I dont know about a BEEP sound, bu ti know that my type S makes two distinct sounds. The first loud rush of air PSHHHH and then a high frequency noise as the valve closes SSSSSEEEEEEET

ok. i guess it is... i just hope it doesn't harm anything. anyways, i'll try to get a audio clip of it. i mean SSSEEEEETTTT may be it. i always thought of it as BBEEEEEPPP. this is only at full throttle and then i leave my foot off of the pedal. other than that it doesn't do it. has anyone heard anything about putting the lower nipple on the coldpipe? i heard the only way to adjust the soft or hard setting on the type s is to have that lower nipple running to the coldpipe. anyone can verify this?

I don't know if you've seen this thread on the first page, it's got some good info

my greddy type-r does the same thing, after a full throttle pull it "wooshes" then it goes into a high pitch whistle for a second or two if i leave my foot off the gas. not unusual. If you notice no difference in the way it is performing, then run with it.

thanks guys. but im just worried that it's harmful. Air is not going back into the compressor right? cuz i know that's bad.

Air going back into the compressor makes a very distinct sound. Nothing like a beeeeep or seeeeeet. The air sorta bounces back and forth from the compressor to the throttle plate making a strong fluttering sound. ju-ju-ju-ju maybe? I'm not good at typing sounds. :)
