Weird airbag question...

Anyone heard of getting bags put in a car that didn't come with them? (eg 280ZX) I ask cause my mom (ack, I feel all young and whiny) won't let me get a car without bags, but I've started to really like the Z (yes, I know I've talked about 240s for a long time), but it doesn't have bags...

i'm sure it can be done with enought money. it would ruin the car though tell you mom the car is a classic Nissan and you couldn't bare to bring yourself to ruin it like that.

drive around with a full faced helmet, chromolly roll cage and a 5 point harness. Much cheaper than airbags

safer too.
