I am curious on the limitations of weight/cargo that the 240, particularly the s13, when using anything other than stock shocks/springs or coilovers. I have the tokico blue w/ eibach prokits they have high milage and was considering replacing the shocks but I was just wondering if performace shocks=low cargo capacity. My car is a 91 se coupe and I have a Yakima roof rack that I use to haul my bicycles and canoe around. Don't flame me because I carry a canoe on my 240sx, I can still cruise at 85-90 mph and get 26 mpg and take 35mph exit ramps loops at 70mph so using an SUV is out of the question. I mean really who want's an overweight sloth of an SUV when a 240 is much more fun. Thanks agian for ya'lls help.

Well, heavier weight means greater load on the shocks. It shouldnt matter if the load is from weight (canoe and bikes) or driving (cornering loads).Of course the more you abuse your shocks, the sooner they will blow. IMO The extra load from weight of canoe is just like taking the back road home every day. It will wear your shocks out faster, but not enough to be a concern.

It kinda cool to hear the 240 is useful for more than just taking corners.

Thanks for your input. I will try and get some pics of the 240 up soon with the canoe on it. The height of the 240 is perfect for loading items on the roof. I don't know how many idiots have to use a step ladder to put their bike or boat on the roof rack of their SUV. It also helps in traffic when cruising down the interstate, bigger cars will finally notice you behind them and move out of your way.
