Guys, is the weight 2800 lbs true on a Vert? And how about removing the power top, possible to loose weight?

Stupid questions, I know....

1) no, there is a thread on here with a stock vert weighing over 3000 lbs. Go to a truck stop and get yours weigh free or cheap if you want to know.2) yeah that would probably save a lot of weight since you could toss the hydraulic pump, the frame for the vert, the hydralic cylinders, etc. It would be badass to ditch the top and bolt on a custom fiberglass or carbon fiber roadster conversion cover... I've thought about doing that if I got a roll bar. Then you could just make a bimini style top (google bimini to see what they look like on a jeep wrangler) to go over the heads of the drivers. If I had a garage I'd do it.
