Its been the worst weekend ever for me, personally. Went to Chicago on Friday, which happened to be the 13th, to visit some friends. I'm usually not superstitious unless its me playing sports (nothing like wearing a gold thong to get out of slump). I left about an hour behind schedule to start. Got there and my directions sucked so I drove around for an extra half hour or so. Wanted to go shopping at Jos. A. Bank off Michigan Ave. Was told it was pretty close to where we were...we were on the north side, it was on the south side of the river...so I didn't make it there (walking) and decided to just drive there on Saturday. We went to this bar called Grand Central...had my wallet picked or it somehow got lost. $100 cash, credit & debit cards, my $500 gift card to Jos A Bank, IDs, and a $20 bill from 1934 that was handed down to me (it had sentimental meaning). Breakfast the next day was a chore. We wanted to go up to Evanston to a specific restaurant, the restaurant was no longer there. We went back downtown and I parked on the left side of a one way...came back out and someone sideswiped my G on the rear passenger side (and yes, less than a week ago I was backed into). I was sick of Chicago and left early after breakfast, however it doesn't end there. Trying to get out, my directions told me to take Wacker to Randolph. Randolph doesn't exist, at least off Wacker. The street that was supposed to be Randolph was Ontario. So I ended up driving to the south loop from the north loop, back up to Lakeshore because I got caught taking Lower Wacker, and then back to Ontario which is south of the river. I just barely made it to my next destination, Grand Rapids. Almost fell asleep twice and arrived running on fumes. However, GR was 10000x better than Chicago...was able to get into a club w/o an ID and actually had some fun.

So how was everyone else's weekend?

*edit* I guess I never saw Randolph, but I think the street I actually got off on was Orleans onto Ontario. Looking at a couple of maps, it does exist apparently.

that sounds godawful. have you considered just parking the G in a hemetically sealed storage unit? It has been a bad month for St. G, patron saint of Sex. As luck would have it, i was in chicago on saturday as well. I had to take my parents to the airport. They flew out to the Middle East. It was re-c***-u-lous getting into the city, because the only road into chicago from indiana is under massive reconstruction and, as luck would have it, we were behind schedule. By the time I made it to O'hare, they barely had enough time to check in and get to the gate. I. WAS. NOT. PLEASED. Plus, I had to drive Mom's Escalade, which meant 110 dollar fillup.

I was up in chicago last week too. I had a few meetings to attend. I took Lola. It rained and so every light on Michigan Ave, when id pull away, my tires would chirp, and people stared. I guess they thought I was racing down MI Ave. Plus, turns were bad because of the slippery roads and my Pilot Sport 2s. I've long hated Chicago. Your story is only fuel for my fire. Good luck this week. Don't die.

Haha, I think I'm just going to stay at home for awhile. No more going places. I'm hoping whoever picked up m wallet is trying to get it back to me. My credit card hasn't been used over the weekend since the last time I used it, but I canceled it anyway, along with all my other cards. Now I just need to go to banks to get new cards ordered, get new IDs ordered, get some money, update my address with the post office and the state (didn't update it on my license, kinda forgot to do that), and whatever else I think of along the way.

Sorry telcoman, but I'm going to stay away from Jersey. From what I hear about crazy drivers and toll roads and the name Dirty Jersey, that's enough for me to stay away for awhile.
