I took a 3 day camping roadtrip with my wife an a couple friends up in the British Columbia Backcountry last weekend. 5 hour drive from the city and drove about 2 hours up a steep dirt/gravel/4wd logging road and some smaller side roads. The pathfinder blazed up the mountains with no problems at all the whole trip, in comfort and style.

Rainbow Pass - 4500 feet up above sea level.

A bit dirty by the time we got to the campsite. gave it a good wash when we got home.

car-camping haha

My friends are a bunch of p****** when it comes to doing this. Everytime we go camping, they wanna go to these big party campgrounds, were theres no trees, no peace and quiet and you gotta pay like $20/night per person + car fees

When, a simple drive through some bushes gets you some flat ground, make your own fires, pick your own tent spot. I would freakin love that with some close buddies

Yeah I miss the random camping days, we're all married or with kids now and are pulling trailers so it's not as easy to coordinate anymore. Going to Rocky Mountain house this morning for 5 days or dirt biking and relaxation, will post some picks of the hauling setup.

It was on the Hurley River Forest Service Road between Pemberton and Goldbridge. really nice drive in the summer, lots ot high passes. camping all over and old gold rush towns and some backcountry resorts up in that area. you can find it on google maps

completely closed this time of the year. its a summer-only road. the only way you can get up it right now is with a snowmobile
