yes i used the oven method...needless to say i was a bit weary myself. i actually went on ebay and found a used RH headlight assembly for cheap first before i did it. this is exactly what i did and it actually worked out really well. preheat your oven to a lower than normal temperature (i used 275 degrees) make sure all your bulbs and harnesses are disconnected. remove the HID ballast. take a baking sheet, and place a damp towel on it. place your headlamp assembly lens down on the towel. after preheat is complete, place in the oven for 10-11 minutes. here come the tricky part; take out the headlamp assembly and quickly take a flat head screwdriver and pry under the casing where the adhesive is all around the housing (bear in mind that the assembly will be rather hot but that you also need to do this quickly so that the adhesive doesn't harden again). separate the lens from the housing; i would probably heat the housing again minus the lens for a bit so that you can get the excess goop out; this would make reassembling and re-adhesive much easier. the plastic chrome piece is attached to the lens via one screw towards the center bottom. remove that screw and you will find the amber pops right out; it is not part of anything nor attached with adhesive. use some silicone sealant ($10 bucks from autozone) and fill in the casing and reassemble the headlamp. replace ballast/bulbs and voila!
