Weak FOB

i have 07 M45 and the key fob is week when i try to open the door i almost have to put the key right by the door handle to get it to open
i tried new battery and its the same on both fobs ??
any ideas my last option is to reprogram the keys at the dealer

Have you tried unlocking and locking the car using the door handle request switch (the button on the handle) with the fob in your pocket?

if that doesn't work--maybe it's your car battery? vs the control module for your locking/unlocking/alarm system has gone bad?

Hopefully you have an extended warranty--if one of these parts is bad--prolly pretty costly since replacing electronic gizmos is harder to DIY.

im sorry i wasn't clear enough i the remote switches r working fine. its the door handle request switch is not responding properly . the car battery is just fine and the fob battery is brand new i have the same problem with both remotes

I am unsure of the 2007 models, but on my 2009, the door request buttons can be disabled in the system settings on the console. It is under Comfort & Convenience Settings.

Intelligent Key Lock/Unlock
When this item is turned to ON, door lock/unlock function by pushing the door handle request switch will be activated.

DOOR LOCKS/UNLOCKS PRECAUTION

Do not push the door handle request switch
with the Intelligent Key held in your hand as
illustrated. The close distance to the door
handle will cause the Intelligent Key system
to have difficulty recognizing that the Intelligent
Key is outside the vehicle.
