Boy was my week just gotten better and better!

the past couple of weeks, I've noticed that my turbo has been a bit laggy, and it wouldn't hold boost. One of my good friends is a nissan mechanic and last night we went down to the shop to check for any boost leaks. We made a fitting to go in past the MAF that would seal up the system and allow us to pressurize it.

I took the intake off and found something i DID NOT want to find. Oil. This of course, ended with me taking the hotpipe off, and the small compressor inlet off the turbo. A small bit of shaft play, and most of the oil is going through the hotpipe. So, my turbo is thinking of commiting suicide. And this is really great because I have no income to replace or rebuild it.

So for now, I backed the boost off to 9PSI (that's as low as I can get the HKS unit to go), and I'm just gonna ride it out till either a) it breaks b) i hit the lottery or c) i finally get some employment and some income.

This is gonna make travelling to interviews a PITA though...

the one saving grace is that my mechanic friend has a center journal for a T25. It's not in great shape, but if mine takes a crap on me, i have a short term replacement that will at least keep me on the road
