Here's a link to more info about the wheels and tires:

I am already hooked up with Universal Air Suspension Company for my project. I am working on getting some struts for the air as we speak.

It will be a car that handles for the track because that's where it is going!

Courtesy of http://www.UniversalAirSuspension.com, this is what my stance will look like once finished:

But with a better wheel fitment rolling on some Weds

Wow, SICK. You need to take some more pictures from further away though, just so I can grasp the seriousness of that fitment. Those wheels are gorgeous, but what are your plans with the fenders?

The goal of my build is to get an agressive wheel under the stock fender. So as far as the fender is concerned, it will be rolled, and that is about it! It might get a slight tug for for possible lip flange clearence but that's about it

Damn, your gonna be running some serious camber.

Also, why are you choosing to run air bags for a so called track car? The only real airbag system ever designed for performance was that Praxxis system for the WRX, and that thing flopped harder than Jordan trying to play baseball. They had issues with the differant settings changing alignment, parking the car on uneven surfaces, unpredictable handling, so on and so forth. I dont see airbags as benefiting anything but overall appeal and wheel fitment (for the fact that you can dump nasty cmaber in non-driving situations AKA hard parking).

I am hooked up with Universal Air who I will be testing a kit for on my 350z. I have personaly ridden in their shop car and it rides great.

There are many misconceptions about air but hopefully I can help to make those go away.

In fact, there are drifters in Japan who run on air as well. Universal Air also has a drift car (an FD) that runs on air, no body roll at all

My personal air kit will be probably combined with some JIC struts, FLTA2. I will be keeping everyone posted on my progress and full progress can be found at my blog!

Im really curious to see how your project turns out. I still dont have much confidence in air suspension as far as dedicated track cars, but I hope you can prove me wrong.

But just because drifters in Japan do something, doesnt mean its the best solution out there. Everyone is so obssessed with drifting and the JDM culture anymore that they follow stupid trends just because it seems cool in the far East. Im not falling for that crap, so show me some real world results on a track car and I might give in.

I cant stress enough how much I like those wheels though.

I agree with you 100%. But, I think you can understand where I am coming from on the air suspension. I am trying to against the grain and it should be quite evident with my wheel choice.

At least 90% of the people out there dislike my choice. Why? I have no idea. Aparantly chrome is too gangster because people are getting my build confused with DUNK style or DUB style.

But, it's ok, I am somewhat making up my own style because I have a sport coupe and not a typical VIP sedan

I definately undertand where youre coming from in the whole scope of your project. Without people pushing the boundaries and trying new things this tuning scene would go nowhere. I love your wheel choice, and personally love the mixing of the tuning scene with the more upscale DUB style culture. The majority of my friends own Chargers, Lexus', and Lincolns with 22's and up, so I consider myself a huge fanatic of the whole big wheel, baller status type trends. I was actually about to sell my s13 for a 98 Q45T.

The only thing about your project I dont agree with is the use of air suspension for performance at the track. Yeah it looks cool, its nice to be able to adjust ride height on the fly, and the nasty camber you can ahieve helps you fit crazy sized wheels like your. Im just interested in the raw performance numbers of before and after your air suspension at the track. You should definately hit up a road course with your stock suspension to get some baseline numbers, and then hit the same track after your planned modifications. Thats the only REAL way to gauge the performance gaining aspects of your tuning.

Again, Im behind you 100%. Keep up the good work, dont cheap out on parts, and keep me posted on your progress.
