ok so i jus got a 38/38 dgas, and im wondering whawt i have to do to get it to run right on my truck? like what jets i will need for it? i have the adapter plates and air filter, i have everything to make it work, i jus want to know what jets i should order before i put it on... it is a used carb and the guy i got it from said it was previousley on his datsun 210......

and what kinda boost increase in power should i be expecting? anything at all? every one says these are the real deal, but im not sure..... oh and this is the real weber, not the knockoffs sold now a days

The Weber is a very good carb if installed correctly.i put one on my 86 Nissan truck/Z-24 engine.it took a little time to dial it in,but it ran better with more horsepower, how much i don't know, but it ran stronger as i had hoped for.the weber is designed to override any vacuum leaks.hope your install goes well. The 38/38 is made mostly for power and will use more fuel, a better overall carb for street use is the 32/36 DGEV Weber, it uses less fuel and still gives a nice boost in power and is better in every way than the stock Hitachi was.

Hey did you ever find out what all the jet and air setting were i to picked up a used weber 38 off of a jeep so im guessing its jets r huge but idk ware to start with mine on the jetting. Other only mods are no vac lines pacesetter header and no cat straight 2.5 inch dump infront of tire. This is on an 89 i converted back to carb efi sux and im looking to get more power using. the down draft to boost this old nissan.

145's on the main jets are standard for all 38s. They cope well with the z24. Check to see the size in yours.
