Does anyone have the Weathertech mats? And if so, do you have any pics of them in an R50? I'm looking at getting some but I want to see for myself how they fit and what they look like first. I've read on here that they're just a universal fit that you have to trim, but on another forum someone is saying that his fit custom.

I'd much rather get some OEM rubber mats but they're so freakin rare it seems. Thanks!

Yeah I saw that, actually he says it right at the top of the page too haha. I was just curious because the other guy said his fit perfectly, so I was wondering if maybe they sent this guy the wrong set or something. Thanks for the reply though!

They make mats and floor liners, the floor liners are laser cut perfect, but they don't offer them for the pathfinder. I have them in another car and they fit awesome. I also have their window visors. Never tried any of their mats. Customer service is GREAT though.. I messed up one of the visors installing it and had a small crack when I finally got it in. A phone call and 3 days latter I had another complete set .

I got a set of the WeatherTech W3GR floor mats for Christmas. I just need to vacuum my floor first and I'll let you know how they fit . . .

Yeah I was very disappointed to see they don't make the Digifits for our vehicles. My roommate has them in his Audi and that's really want I wanted. I even emailed the company to see if they'd consider making them for us haha. Pretty much...no. The window visors you're talking about, you mean the guards that go on the outside of the windows? How do you like those? Do you still get a good draft through the car with the windows down and/or cracked a bit?

Sweet, thanks! I look forward to that! Think you could take a pic or two if they work out for you? I'd very much appreciate that. So far I haven't found a single pic of Weathertech mats for an R50 online.

Speedjunkie23...I am the one that just ordered the weathertech mats for our 2004 (R50) PF, or well, at least tried too. The mats I received were a generic fit mat with a part # of W3. The quality of the mats was nice. They were thick, yet very flexible. Their flexibility helped them contour to the not so flat Pathfinder floor. However, their biggest drawback was their length and the positioning of the bend or transition from the back of the mat to the front.

Another fault of the mat was there was no security latch hole to fit the stock mat hook. I would of had to cut my own hole which would have been in the middle of the water channels, thus defeating the purpose of the mat in that area.

The driver's side fit "better" than the passenger side. When I lined up the mat on the passenger side, the mat hit the seat base and curled up about 2" worth, almost touching the seat. This was because of the transition area where the mat goes from fat to skinny was in the wrong position. For me to get the mat to fit properly, I would of had to cut the passenger side mat destroying the outer lip edge which would allow water to leak off the side.

In my opinion, it is best to get another type of all weather mat that allows you to trim the sides without destroying the main (center) part of the mat that traps the water and dirt.

Sorry, I do not have any pictures of me fitting the mats.

Maybe the guy on the other site actually trimmed the mat to make it fit.

Yeah I read your thread too. Yeah I definitely don't want a universal fit mat that I have to trim. So the ones in the pic on the link were the ones you actually got? The guy on the other forum said he didn't have to trim his at all I believe. But you're right, I don't want to buy them and still have to trim them to fit, especially if they're advertised as a custom fit. I was wondering if maybe they had the wrong part number saved in their database and if that's why most people get generic mats while some get some that fit. I ran into this problem before with other car parts, so I hope that's it. But if not, I'll just get some from another company. I'd LOVE to get OEM rubber mats, but they are ridiculous to find.

Yea the guards that go on the outside, these go in the window channel not on the outside held with tape. To me they look cleaner this way. I can get plenty of draft in and don't have to worry about the rain. I love them!

Speedjunkie...

no where on their (Weathertech's) website does it say these mats for the Pathfinder are custom fit. That wouldbe the Digifit series which is not availalbe for the R50 chassis.

If the front mats had the extra area to trim along the sides and back, like the rear mats do (along the top/front) then I think I could have made them fit better. But since they don't, I wasn't about to cut into the mat and defeat its purpose.

If you are dead set on getting some for you PF, see if you can find a retailer nearby and see if they have the W3 that way you can do a test fit of your own.

Oh I wasn't saying that. I was just always under the impression that Weathertech made all their mats to fit whatever vehicle they were for. I mean, what's the point in spending $100 on some rubber mats that aren't tailored to your vehicle, when you can go to Pep Boys and get some for probably $50? It's alright though. If none of you guys have these mats that fit, then I'll just look at getting a different brand, like Husky or something. Thanks!

I definitely agree with K03sport.

I ended up keeping mine because the floormats that you can buy at walmart or canadian tire actually fit a lot worse and slide out of place all the time.

Would not recommend the weathertech if your looking for a custom fit.

Yeah I'll probably just end up getting the Husky liners. The only thing I don't like about those is the rear seat ones are two pieces, which kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me, since snow can melt and then run down between where they come together. Oh well. Thanks guys!

Well I just bought some Nifty Catch All mats since they are the only ones that are supposedly custom fit. They have a carpet type top, but there is a liner that fits to the bottom of them and the sides are raised. I couldn't find any pics on them though to see if they are custom fit, I sure hope they are. They are beige, and I wanted charcoal but they don't make the rear mats in charcoal. So I might just try to dye them black. Thanks guys!

I finally got the WeatherTech mats in last weekend. Not a custom fit by any means, but not horrible either. The driver's side definitely fits better than the passenger side. The drivers side does not have a hole for the retainer, but the bottom is grippy and I don't see them moving anytime soon. I have tried to get them to slide and they haven't budged yet.

If the Nifty Mats are custom fit, let me know. The WeatherTech's seem to be pretty durable, and I'll probably keep them for awhile, but it would be nice to know if someone out there makes a truly custom fit set.

I'd take some pictures, but it's a little late for that seeing as how yo already bought the other ones. Sorry for the lateness of the reply, I've been sick for over a week now and haven't been on the forums.

No worries! Thanks for the update on fitment. I'll let you all know how the Nifty ones work out. I'm sure they're already at the house but I won't be home for another week or two.

Hope you get to feeling better.
