Well, I gave it a shot. I ordered All Weather mats from Weathertech.com thinking I was going to get a customer fit all weather rubber floor mat. Well, what I got were generic fit all weather floor mats that do not fit the unique shape of the (04) Pathfinder's front floor area.

Despite all of their hype about custom fit, no where did it say I was getting a generic all weather mat. They, WeatherTech, do not offer their digital fit series for the R50 Pathfinder. The type I was sent was the WS3 model #. This is the "closest" generic mat they have that will "fit" the R50. The driver's side was close, but not great and the passenger side was far from close and fit horrible, to the point of having to cut the mat and defeat its purpose of trapping snow and muck.

I do have the 4WD model, so that may be part of the problem...who knows. Anyway, save your $55US +shipping + return shipping and seek rubber floor mats from somewhere else.

I cannot speak about the cargo mat because I did not order one. Cheers.

Regarding the cargo mat. I have the highland brand from advance auto and it fits great. I used online coupon codes and got it for under $50. The floor mats are just an el cheapo brand that fit the front like a**, but do the job.

The 4WD model should have identical floor interior to the 2WD models and all other post-facelift R50s, so that probably isn't the issue.

From all of their pictures and stuff on the website, it is easy to believe that they have mats to fit just about every vehicle as good as or better than the OE ones...but unfortunately they do not.

Don't get me wrong...the mats they sent were of high quality construction and seemed to be rather durable, but since they were generic fit without an anchor hole, fitting them safely was going to be difficult.

I guess I have the wrong vehicle. If i had a Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep, Hummer, Toyota or Dodge I probably would of had better luck, but it seems this generation Pathfinder/QX4 is on the bottom of everyone's list for aftermarket parts.

I've got el-cheapo mats from about 9 years ago that I've cut to fit the foot well somewhat decently. They have enough "extra" material on the side that cutting it did not interfere with the mat's ability to trap snow and muck. I was hoping to improve on what I've got with a higher quality mat.

I may have to go down to the local Advanced or AutoZone and see what is in stock.

I don't know if they are still available but the all weather mats from Nissan are great -- and obviously fit. Mine are 10 year old and don't look much different then when new.

I never bought one for the rear cargo area.

i had the same experience. Then, i bought the OEM all weather mats they fit great, very durable. 6 years later (150k miles) finally wore a hole through the spot where my heel rests - maybe time to look for a new set!!
